IT ALL STARTED WHEN…

Libertine Pub was founded in 2012, which started in beautiful Morro Bay. Libertine has been run by multiple locals since its inception. In 2015, local business owners Rodessa and Eric bought Libertine. They opened the San Luis location in 2017, and added Libertine Coffee Bar! In 2018, Libertine opened their location in Avila Beach.

Libertine has always found a priority in a well caffeinated lifestyle. We've incorporated locally roasted coffee into our beers, and found our perfect balance of caffeine and beer. Libertine Coffee Bar is the product of that. Serving only the best local pastries, delicious breakfast and lunch items, and amazing Slake Coffee and Mighty Leaf Teas.

Slake Coffee is a small-batch roastery right here in San Luis Obispo, whose goal with every coffee roasted is to live up to their namesake and create coffees that truly satisfy. Slake achieves that goal by pursuing every expression of the bean, from bright, complex light roasts to caramelized, smoky dark roasts. Regardless of roast level, they develop specific roast profiles for every coffee based on the inherent qualities of the bean. And of course, we love to keep it local!

Mighty Leaf is passionate about whole leaf tea. Since their founders first opened their original San Francisco tea house called Tea & Company in 1996, it has been their goal to share the whole leaf tea experience with tea enthusiasts around the world. Mighty Leaf teas showcase larger, bolder, tea leaves that are never broken, torn, or crushed, giving you a complex, nuanced taste that you can’t find anywhere else. Only whole leaves deliver the whole flavor and aroma to give you a luxurious and unique multi-sensory tea experience.
